ALBERTO FISCHZANG, D.D.S.

General, Cosmetic, and Reconstructive Dentistry

Dr. Fischzang has been an active member of the local community for 17 years.  He received his doctorate in Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in 2002.   He graduate from the University of Buenos Aires in 1994.  Our doctor founded, began and grew Village Square Dental and in Pembroke Pines for the past 16 years.  He has cultivated lasting relationships with his patients and watched many local families grow up in his practice during that time.  Dr. Fischzang is an expert in full-mouth rehabilitation, dental implants and cosmetic procedures that enhance long-term function & esthetics, while embodying a compassionate & caring attitude. His patients all know him as their dentist with the “magic touch.”

Dr. Fischzang received his training and mentoring from some of the best professors and dentists in the world which helped distinguish him in his profession. With over 2000 hours completed, he has exceeded the requirements for continuing education in the State of Florida. While in University, he led as a clinical instructor in Dental Restorations. Throughout his years as an esteemed dentists, he published research articles in distinguished local and international dental journals. Dr. Fischzang enjoys fishing and racquetball but mostly, spending lots of time with his children. He, his wife and two kids are also  active volunteers in their Weston community, helping in any way they can where needed, such as those like the firefighters, pantries, & schools.

Dr. Marcela Cardona

Prosthodontist

Driven by her passion for dentistry, Dr. Cardona completed her Doctorate ofDental Surgery from New York University. She then furthered her educationby completing 3 extra years of residency and obtaining her specialty inProsthodontics at Nova Southeastern University, where she wasrecognized as Chief Resident for her outstanding leadership and clinicalskills.

With her extensive training and expertise in Prosthodontics, Dr. Cardona iscommitted to providing the highest level of care to her patients. Hermeticulous attention to detail and personalized approach to treatmentensures that each patient receives the best possible outcome

When she's not working, Dr. Cardona loves to explore the world with herhusband and sons, immersing herself in different cultures and experiences.Her curiosity and sense of adventure fuel her desire to constantly learn andgrow both professionally and personally.

Andrew Forrest, D.M.D., M.S.

Periodontics, Dental Implants, & Dental Surgery

As a third-generation dentist, creating a beautiful, healthy smile is part of Dr. Forrest’s DNA. Dr. Forrest has repeatedly distinguished himself as an industry leader in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Throughout his 20 years of experience, Dr. Forrest discovered that the ultimate patient experience necessitates a “team approach” to dental care. This means utilizing a team of varying dental specialists instead of just one to provide care for each patient regardless of their needs.

Dr. Forrest completed his clinical research at the University of Miami on the interdisciplinary management of cancer treatment, irradiation therapy, and implantology. This earned him the prestigious Straumann ITI Implant Dentistry Scholarship Award. While attending Dental School, Dr. Forrest completed two Periodontics externships at New York University and Harvard University.

Dr. Forrest completed his three-year specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital, earning his Master’s Degree focusing on Oral Immunology. Additionally, he is a faculty reviewer for the Periodontics Chapter in the McGraw Hill Clinical Dentistry textbook. He retains a teaching appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Florida.

To date, Dr. Forrest has placed more than 20,000 dental implants while serving as the Clinical Director of Village Square Dental, an elite multi-specialist dental center based in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Forrest had the honor to spend five years on the Clear Choice Dental Implant Team.  He lectures nationwide to practitioners on his methodology, teaching others how to attain the highest possible results in implant dentistry.

He maintains a reputation for achieving excellent results by consistently following the basic principles of proper treatment planning and team synergy. With a passion for dentistry and an artistic flair for creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Forrest serves patients from the South Florida community and nationwide. He continues to treat many of the most complex and challenging cases. His goal is to transform lives by restoring hope, health, and smiles. One patient at a time.

Carlos FEo-Fernandez, D.D.S.

Orthodontist

Dr. Carlos F. Feo graduated as a dentist, from Santa Maria University in 2003. He worked in private practice and also in rural underserved areas of Venezuela and helped to develop dental programs for people in need. Upon completion of his dental residency, Dr. Feo became passionate about Orthodontics and continued his training under the mentorship of several Orthodontists in Venezuela until his arrival in The United States.

Dr. F. Feo furthered his education by completing a one-year Orthodontic Fellowship program and a 2-year Specialty Certificate in Orthodontic and Dento-facial Orthopedics at the Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. Dr. Feo is wholeheartedly devoted to his dental career. He has published articles in scientific journals and has made presentations in dental conventions. He is also, dedicated to the newest advancements in Orthodontics and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Dr. Feo is certified in Invisalign, Incognito (lingual hidden braces), ceramic esthetic brackets, and in the use of orthodontic micro implants (TAD’s) to treat all types of malocclusions for children and adults. In his free time, Dr. Feo enjoys spending time with his fellow dentists, and their family and friends. He is an avid golfer and loves all sports

Lizbeth R.D.H.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Born and raised in New York, Lizbeth received dental hygiene degree from New York City Technical College in 1991. She Moved to the sunshine state in 2001.  Lizbeth has practiced in hospitals, schools, community clinics and private practices.  The best part of job is educating patients on importance of oral health.  She is compassionate and committed to making her patients appointment a comfortable and positive experience.  Over the years she has formed bonds with patients and really appreciates being recognized as a caregiver they can trust.  Lizbeth also enjoys volunteering her time and services to those in need.  She is also bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish.  Spending time with her family is Lizbeth’s favorite thing in the world.

Joanna R.D.H.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Joanna was born and raised in La Habana, Cuba where she graduated from Raul Gonzales Sanches, Dental School.  Upon completed her studies there, she worked as a dentist in Cuba for over 10 years. During this time, she spent 4 of these years working as a pediatric dentist.  This experience was what really developed and solidified her deep love and patience for her patients.  Joanna moved to Miami in July of 2016.  She immediately ceased the opportunity to continue her dental career working as a dental assistant. During the summer of 2019, Joanna received her degree as a registered dental hygienist.  Joanna has been providing patient care for Village Square Dental and delivering the best care to our patients with a lot of kindness and compassion.  She has a strong belief that education is essential for exceptional dental and overall health. Joanna has a deep love for plants and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
